COVID-19 POLICY

THE WORLD HAS CHANGED SO MUCH... BUT ONE THING REMAINS - OUR COMMITMENT TO CRAFTING UNFORGETTABLE TRIPS IN ISRAEL.

Our team has adapted the following safety protocols in response to COVID-19, which are in accordance with the World Travel & Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Safe Travel Protocols for Tour Operators. The protocols also take into account World Health Organisation (WHO), the US’ Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) guidelines. We are prepared, so when the time is right for you, we will be here to safely show you Israel.

    • The Refund Credit Note does not have an expiry date and may be applied to future trips offered by us; is not redeemable for cash; excludes flights as they have their own booking conditions.

OUR SUPPLIERS

  • We have carefully chosen the best accommodation, restaurants and transportation that Israeli has to offer. All of our partners are obligated to comply with the Israeli Health Ministry COVID-19 Regulations.

  • Our hotels, restaurants and buses adhere to a strict daily cleaning and disinfection policies, with special attention towards high-touched surfaces and areas of common use, as required by the Israeli COVID-19 Regulations.

  • For solo travelers on our group tours who opt to share a room, we will aim to ensure that roommates remain fixed for the entire journey. Single supplements are available for single travelers who do not wish to share a room.

  • Our restaurants adhere to local regulations on table spacing and guest seating.

  • We use spacious, private vehicles restricted to your group members only. Your guide will ensure that travelers use the same seat for all journeys, to minimize the risk of cross-contamination.

  • All of our drivers and guards are fully-vaccinated.

  • If a larger vehicle is required to meet social distancing requirements, we will seek to upgrade you at no additional cost.

OUR GUIDES

  • There’s a reason why the best part of every Magnolia trip is our guides. Our guides will be there for you to make sure you’re well-informed and feeling safe throughout your trip. They will receive updated training that outlines advanced health and safety protocols for hygiene and sanitation.

  • Our guides will plan ahead to minimize time in crowded places by re-routing or arriving at quiet times, if possible.

  • Our guides are fully-vaccinated! They will complete a self-health check before every trip.

  • All our guides will have the up-to-date knowledge of the nearest local clinics, testing procedures and health policies in Israel.

BEFORE YOUR TRIP

  • As countries open their borders, travelers may have to provide a negative PCR test, have their temperature taken prior to boarding their flight, and perhaps have PCR or serological tests taken on arrival in country. All travelers are requested to check entry requirements to their intended destination to ensure they meet any requirement that may have been put in place. We recommend your own government’s travel advisory service information for Israel at the State Department Travel Advisory. All expenses for testing will need to be covered by you.

  • We recommend that you purchase travel insurance that includes medical cover for COVID-19, Coronavirus, or any pandemic illness. You will need this to cover any care or costs relating to COVID-19.

DURING YOUR TRIP

  • Travelers may be required to comply with any local requirements to quarantine in the hotel for 24 hours or until their negative PCR test results are received.

  • Travelers who receive a positive PCR test will be required to enter a 7-day quarantine at their own expense.

  • In certain circumstances, in places where community transmission of COVID-19 is high and/or physical distancing is not possible (e.g. on public transport, in shops or in other confined environments) then a fabric mask can be a useful barrier to prevent the spread of virus.

  • We require all travel, guides and crew to comply with any local regulations or requirements that require the use of a mask in public or in certain places.

  • Travelers who are feeling unwell and exhibiting symptoms must advise their guide, who will undertake our required safety protocols.

  • Travelers and guides/crew on our trips with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 will be assisted to access appropriate medical care as quickly as possible. It is important that you have travel insurance that covers medical costs incurred due to COVID-19. While your guide will assist you to receive all the care you require, all expenses for testing, treatment or self-isolation will need to be covered by you.

  • If travelers, guides or staff show symptoms of COVID-19 and are either unable to or unwilling to be tested, Magnolia reserves the right to remove them from our trips to prevent any risk to others.

  • If required, we would have no hesitation in making any necessary changes to your day-by-day itinerary for your own personal welfare and safety.
